SPILT MILK
Early 2016 saw the continuing of a really fun connection with Kicks Entertainment. After painting their terrace at Canberra's Mr Wolf Nightclub, Kicks asked me to design something for a soon-to-be-announced festival. Sharing a trust in Canberra's creative potential, I was told, think about "there's no use crying over it". True, well then I guess lets just do it!
Remembering a wall drawing in The Cupping Room, I wanted to explore the literal and symbolic of the saying and Canberra as a city. Within the work I have ambiguously encorporated a number of hands, cups, liquid spills and other items relevant to the festival or myself personally. As well as all my friends' graffiti names.
Understated by the promotion is the size of the original, I had to cut it into 7 sections to digitally scan it, and rendering was not fun!
