Removable Murals

I was commissioned by a cafe in Sydney to paint a mural in their bar. They were after something that could cover the alcohol during the days, I took the chance to explore a range of materials before coming up with a sheet option that I could prime and seal.

The painting was made using a range of paints, exploring thin-on-fat as a seal in areas. Its 3.6m wide and 1.8m tall, took two weeks to paint and can fold into a small duffel bag with a weight of around 10kg. I carried it on my back to sydney.

The piece explores the romance between barista and customer,  personified in their swans, one of the last forms of latte art to be learnt as a beginner.

Please contact me if you are interested in this work, it was something I am really looking forward to doing again
